PTI says won’t attend today’s NSC huddle without meeting its founder

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided not to attend a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) today without permission to meet PTI founder Imran Khan.
A statement was issued late last night after a meeting of the PTI’s political committee, in which it was demanded to meet PTI founder Imran Khan before the national security committee huddle.

PTI has said that it will not attend the National Security Committee meeting if it does not meet Imran Khan.

Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram also said that an emergency meeting of the PTI’s political committee was held in which participation in the National Security Committee meeting was discussed.

Sheikh Waqas said that he will not attend the meeting until he is allowed to meet PTI founder Imran Khan.

According to sources, most of the PTI core committee members also objected to the names sent by the party for the National Security Committee meeting.

They added the members said that Amir Dogar should not have been named without consulting the political and core committee.

Earlier, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry had contacted the PTI and sought their names for the meeting.

On which the PTI sent the names of Barrister Gohar, Asad Qaiser, Zartaj Gul, Amir Dogar, Ali Muhammad Khan, Barrister Ali Zafar, Hamid Raza and others.

Earlier on Monday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Whip Amir Dogar called on National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

Dogar had demanded that a meeting should be held with the founder of PTI before the national security session of parliament.
