Gaza students land in Karachi for studies – courtesy JI’s Alkhidmat
Palestinian students have landed in Karachi from war-hit Gaza with the view to complete their studies.
Reports said that seven Palestinians landed in city will be enrolled in various educational institutions across the metropolis.
Another group of students is also expected in the coming days in Karachi.
Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan’s (JIP) welfare organization Al-Khidmat will bear all the educational expenses and fulfil other responsibilities of the visiting students.
The students have come to Pakistan to pursue their aspirations as Gaza’s academic infrastructure is completely devastated in Israeli attacks.
Earlier, in October last year, 27 Palestinian medical students had arrived in Lahore to continue their studies.
To facilitate them, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) had granted a special permission to the visiting medical and dental students to complete their studies in Pakistan.
The permission was granted at the request of the Pakistani High Commissioner in London.
