Authorities in Punjab are intensifying their crackdown on individuals involved in inappropriate public acts, with dancer and social media sensation Mehak Malik now facing legal action over a controversial performance at a wedding event.

Punjab Police have registered a case against nearly three dozen individuals, including Mehak Malik, following an alleged objectionable dance performance at a Mehndi ceremony in Yazman Tehsil, Bahawalpur.

According to the FIR, filed under the Sound System Act, attendees showered currency notes on the performers, and the event violated regulations regarding the use of loudspeakers and sound amplifiers. The case also includes the names of several government employees, including a police constable.
