Trump Warns: No Trade with Pakistan or India If They Go to War
US President Donald Trump has said that if a war breaks out between Pakistan and India, the United States will stop all trade with both countries. He made these comments while addressing tensions in South Asia, warning that such a conflict could lead to nuclear disaster.
Trump thanked the leaders of Pakistan and India for agreeing to a ceasefire and praised the role the US played in helping reduce tensions. He said, “We stopped them from going to war. We cannot trade with countries that are firing bullets at each other.”
In a positive development, a high-level trade delegation from Pakistan will visit the United States next week. The visit aims to discuss and improve trade relations between the two countries. According to Trump, one of the goals of the upcoming talks is for Pakistan to seek tariff relief from the US
Trump also discussed other global matters. He mentioned that the US could soon help finalize a peace deal between Israel and Hamas. He added that talks with Iran over its nuclear program are progressing. He also hopes to resolve trade and tariff issues with China soon.
On education, Trump said foreign students are still welcome in the US, despite disagreements with some universities like Harvard. He said, “We’re not removing foreign students for now. I still want them to come and study here.”
It is important to note that the recent ceasefire between Pakistan and India was made possible through US efforts. The region was under serious threat due to rising tensions, but both sides have now agreed to peace, at least for now.
