The Meteorological Department has predicted extreme heat across many regions of the country, with some areas also likely to experience thunderstorms and rain.
Today, the weather is expected to stay hot and dry in the plains. In Islamabad and nearby areas, partly cloudy skies are anticipated, along with a chance of thunderstorms and scattered rain.
In much of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, partly cloudy conditions will prevail. By evening and night, rainfall is expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, and Abbottabad.
Punjab will mostly see hot weather, although light rain is likely in Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, and surrounding regions.
Sindh and Balochistan are forecast to experience hot and humid conditions, with expected rain and gusty winds in Quetta, Khuzdar, Lasbela, and nearby locations.
There is also a thunderstorm and rainfall alert for parts of Azad Kashmir and the adjoining mountainous areas.
A heatwave alert has been issued by the department, in effect until June 21. Over the past 24 hours, most regions remained hot and dry.
