Trump Denies Repots of Iran Moving Uranium from Its Nuclear Facility

29 June, 2025 11:16

US President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that Iran did not transfer uranium from its nuclear facility, amid escalating regional tensions.

He confirmed that Iran did not move uranium from the nuclear plant, addressing recent media claims. Although he acknowledged seeing reports about the transfer of 400 kilograms of uranium, he dismissed them as unlikely.

Trump emphasized that moving anything from a nuclear site, particularly uranium, is very difficult and extremely dangerous. He explained that what actually happened was the Iranians evacuated themselves to safer locations.

The president added that people in Iran were trying to protect their lives amid the threat of military action, with everyone attempting to escape danger.

Commenting on the recent strike at Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, Trump noted that nobody expected the US to target Fordow, describing the site as once considered impenetrable and untouchable.

He concluded that Iran had no idea an attack was imminent, portraying the strike as a strategic and surprising move that caught Tehran off guard.
