Rayyan Arkan Dikha is an 11-year-old boy from Indonesia, more specifically from Kuantan Singingi Regency in Sumatra. He became an online sensation after a video showed him dancing on the bow of a racing boat during a cultural boat race known as Pacu Jalur.
In the video, Rayyan wears traditional black clothing called Teluk Belanga and a Malay Riau headcloth, along with stylish black sunglasses. His smooth dance moves, performed confidently on a fast-moving boat, caught everyone’s attention and led to the viral trend now known as Aura Farming.
What is the Pacu Jalur Festival?
Pacu Jalur is an annual longboat race held in August on the Batang Kuantan river in Riau Province, Indonesia. It’s a major cultural event for the Minangkabau ethnic group. The race features long, decorated boats powered by large teams.
Rayyan was playing the role of Togak Luan, the person who dances and keeps the boat crew energized and focused during the race. His charm and confident moves not only inspired the team but also won hearts online.
