Top Energy Officials Meet in Karachi for SHS Projects

Karachi: A high-level meeting was held on August 5, 2025, with the Energy Department of the Government of Sindh, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Atif Jalib and Deputy Secretary of Energy, to review the progress and coordination of renewable energy projects in the region.

Dr. Atif Jalib, a distinguished civil servant who secured 2nd position in Sindh and 33rd position nationwide in the CSS Examination 2018, led the meeting alongside Engineer Mehfooz Kazi, Project Director, and Mr. Syed Zain Hussain Shah, Project Manager.

The meeting was attended by representatives of all LMDs, including key stakeholders from the private sector:

2. Bahzad Bashir Memon, Senior Board Director

3. G. M. Bachani, Manager, SHS Consumer Awareness

The session focused on enhancing project efficiency, consumer outreach, and performance evaluation of SHS initiatives across Sindh. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration to accelerate the region’s clean energy goals.

Officials reaffirmed their commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable energy development in the province.
