US Signs $850M Arms Deal With Ukraine

Washington: US President Donald Trump has approved an $850 million arms deal with Ukraine, under which 3,350 advanced missiles will be supplied.

According to American media reports, the missiles have a range of 180 to 250 kilometers, enhancing Ukraine’s ability to conduct both defensive and offensive operations against Russia.

Under the agreement, all missiles are to be delivered within six weeks. However, their use will remain under Pentagon supervision, and Ukrainian forces will require prior authorization from the US Department of Defense before deploying them.

US sources revealed that the cost of the deal will be covered by European allied countries, easing the financial burden on Washington.

Analysts suggest the agreement highlights the commitment of the US and NATO to Ukraine, but also warn it could further intensify tensions in the region.
