Iranian Forces Bust Israeli Agent Network: 6 Terrorists Killed, 2 Arrested

24 August, 2025 12:30

Iran has killed six terrorists and captured two in the Sistan-Baluchestan province, which borders Pakistan. The terrorists killed in the operation were identified by Iran as Zionist agents linked to Israel.

According to the Iranian state news agency, the terrorists belonged to a group that was planning to target highly important installations in eastern Iran.

The operation was carried out by Iran’s intelligence agency, during which heavy gunfire was exchanged. During the clash, two intelligence officers and one police officer were injured.

Iranian authorities said that the terrorists in the group were foreigners, and documents related to a Zionist agenda were also recovered from their possession.

According to Iranian officials, the group was on a mission of sabotage, terrorism, and espionage within Iran, aiming to target a key strategic installation in the country’s eastern region.

It was further reported that the central cell of the terrorist group consisted of seven non-Iranian militants, though their nationalities were not disclosed.

It should be noted that Sistan-Baluchestan is the same region where several security personnel have been killed in recent attacks by extremist groups Jaish al-Adl and Ansar al-Furqan.

This province is considered the stronghold of Iran’s Sunni Baluch minority and is regarded as the country’s most sensitive area.
