Defence Day Marked at Pakistan Embassy in Ankara
ANKARA – The Embassy of Pakistan in Türkiye observed Defence and Martyrs Day with a dignified ceremony on Friday.
The event was attended by senior Turkish civil and military officials, diplomats, defence attachés, and members of the Pakistani community. Tributes were paid to the courage, sacrifices, and unwavering resolve of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Güler joined the ceremony as the chief guest.
Pakistan’s Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid highlighted the importance of 6 September, praising the bravery and unity of the Pakistani nation. He stressed that lasting peace in South Asia depends on the peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
