20-Point Gaza Peace Plan Released by Trump is Not Ours: FM Ishaq Dar

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday stated that the 20-point Gaza peace plan announced by US President Donald Trump differs from the draft proposed by Muslim countries, including Pakistan.

“The 20-point plan released by President Trump is not ours, and changes were made to our draft,” DPM Dar said during a National Assembly session.

The comments come after Trump unveiled a plan that includes a ceasefire, a hostage exchange between Hamas and Israel, phased Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, Hamas disarmament, and a transitional government under an international body.

Trump introduced the proposal following a meeting with leaders from eight Muslim countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, and Indonesia.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had welcomed the plan, emphasizing that lasting peace between Palestinians and Israel is key to regional stability and economic growth. However, Pakistan later clarified, through DPM Dar, that the plan did not fully reflect its suggestions.
