Pakistan’s popular comedy show host, Tabish Hashmi, is all set to transition from television and stand-up comedy to the big screen.

In multiple interviews, Hashmi has expressed his interest in acting, stating that he would take on a role if the script aligns with his terms and style. It now appears that his acting aspirations are finally coming true.

According to Galaxy Lollywood, Tabish Hashmi will star in his first film alongside Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan. The movie, a romantic comedy, will be directed by Bilal Atif Khan, while production will be handled by Fahad Mustafa’s Big Bang Entertainment. The production house, which has focused on television dramas in recent years, is now entering the film industry, with this project being considered a major milestone.

The announcement has generated mixed reactions on social media. Mahira Khan’s fans are excited about the new collaboration with Fahad Mustafa and Tabish Hashmi, while some fans of Hania Amir have raised questions about her exclusion, especially since Fahad Mustafa had previously announced that Hania Amir would be cast in Big Bang Entertainment’s first film.

Tabish Hashmi, long regarded as an underrated stand-up comedian, also spent some time working as a logistics manager in Canada. He began hosting comedy shows in 2023, and his witty, candid style quickly gained him popularity, particularly among Gen Z, propelling his fame to new heights.
