Hamas Senior Leader Khalil al-Hayya Surfaces After Israeli Attack in Qatar

Senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, who survived an Israeli attack in Qatar, has appeared publicly, dispelling Israeli claims that he was killed in the strike.

In an exclusive interview with Al-Arabiya TV, Khalil al-Hayya spoke about the tragic loss of his son and chief of staff, who was martyred in the attack. He also paid tribute to other Hamas members who lost their lives.

Israeli officials had initially claimed that Khalil al-Hayya was among those killed in the recent airstrike. However, Hamas promptly rejected these reports, confirming that Khalil al-Hayya and other top leaders of the organization survived the attack unharmed.

Following the attack, Khalil al-Hayya personally led the funeral prayers for his son and other martyrs, highlighting his central role within Hamas’s leadership.

Khalil al-Hayya is also known as the head of Hamas’s ceasefire negotiation team, playing a key part in ongoing efforts to negotiate an end to the conflict with Israel.
