According to reports confirmed by Tina’s niece Jacqueline Bullock through TMZ on October 5, Ike Jr. died due to kidney failure after years of struggling with heart problems.

Jacqueline shared that he also suffered a stroke in September, and his health had been declining. In a heartfelt statement to Page Six, she called Ike Jr. more like a brother than a cousin, saying they grew up together in the same home.

She said, “Junior was more than a cousin to me, but rather a brother. He was always full of talent and passion for music. There wasn’t an instrument he didn’t want to play.”

A Musician Who Followed His Parents’ Legacy

Born to Ike Turner Sr. and Lorraine Taylor, Ike Turner Jr. was later adopted by Tina Turner after she married Ike Sr. Despite facing personal challenges, he made a name for himself in the music world.

He once managed Bolic Sound Studios, founded by his father. Ike Jr. was also a Grammy winner for Best Traditional Blues Album in 2007 for his father’s record “Risin’ With The Blues.”
