Iqrar ul Hassan Plans New Political Party to Empower Common People

Renowned journalist and television host Iqrar ul Hassan, famous for his investigative show Sar-e-Aam, has announced plans to launch a new political platform aimed at empowering the common people of Pakistan.

In a recent interview, Iqrar shared his vision for a people-focused political party that breaks away from the traditional personality-driven politics in the country. He emphasized that Pakistan needs a political force that truly represents the masses, not just elites or political dynasties.

Iqrar clarified that he does not intend to run for office himself but wants to create a platform for educated professionals, journalists, and the middle class to participate and represent the public. He compared his initiative to the early days of the MQM but said his party would be more transparent and democratic. Unlike MQM, where candidates were chosen through recommendations, Iqrar said his party would provide opportunities through a fair and merit-based process.

His announcement has drawn public interest and comparisons to MQM’s founder Altaf Hussain. However, Iqrar highlighted that his focus will be on accountability and meritocracy, aiming to fill a gap in Pakistan’s political landscape.
