What Led to His Arrest?

During the peaceful protest, Potylo sang lyrics criticizing ICE’s treatment of immigrants. Despite protestors staying behind a designated blue line, witnesses say ICE agents suddenly emerged, targeted, and detained him. He has reportedly been charged with trespassing and is expected to appear in court.

A video posted on his YouTube channel shows him—dressed in a giraffe costume—singing lines like: “It’s about peace and love, it’s about rock and roll, in spite of ICE.”

Claims of Excessive Force

According to Storyful, ICE officers fired rubber bullets and pepper balls at protestors before detaining Potylo. Bystanders insisted he was not breaking any rules and was “just talking” when officers pulled him inside the facility.
