What Happened Between Emerome & N3on? Twitch Personality Cancels TwitchCon Appearance Amid Threats

Twitch streamer Emerome, whose real name is Emelina Smith, has announced her decision to skip TwitchCon after allegedly receiving death threats from followers of fellow streamer N3on.

The controversy erupted following the circulation of a viral video on X, prompting Emerome’s October 19, 2025 statement confirming she would not attend the event.

The viral clip features N3on and Emerome introducing themselves and exchanging greetings before N3on invites her to an afterparty. When Emerome questions the reason for the invitation, N3on replies, “Because you’re very beautiful.”
In response, Emerome remarks, “I love being objectified.”

The exchange appeared to confuse N3on, who questioned whether he had done anything inappropriate, while social media users quickly reacted to Emelina’s comment, sparking widespread criticism. In the aftermath, Smith took to X to announce her withdrawal from TwitchCon.

She wrote:
“Hey! Getting many death threats from N3on’s fan base so unfortunately I won’t be going to the con today. It was nice meeting everyone I got a chance to meet but it’s not worth going back. Love you guys [love emoji].”

N3on also addressed the situation on X through two posts. In the first, he stated that he would “never compliment any girl” again. In the second, he appeared to refer to Emelina, writing:
“I just found out she’s a cam girl with vids of ddos in her a and she draws the line in someone giving her a compliment calling her beautiful. Am I getting trolled?”

Following the exchange, Emerome shared additional posts discussing traumatic past experiences. About a day after her TwitchCon announcement, she revealed that she had been a victim of s*x trafficking in her late teens, allegedly targeted by a convicted felon.

Smith described the period as one of the darkest phases of her life, saying she was forced into situations she never wished to be in. She further wrote:
“I feared for my life daily. I nearly died on multiple occasions. I never wanted to have to talk about this because it’s caused a lot of anxiety. It’s really upsetting that this was brought up like this & that I have to relive the trauma & address it.”

Emerome explained that revisiting the ordeal brought intense fear and anxiety, though some of her friends were aware of her experiences. Addressing her followers, she mentioned that she planned to discuss the matter briefly during a live stream.

As of now, Emelina has not issued any response to N3on’s recent remarks on X, and further developments regarding the situation remain pending.
