President Zardari Arrives in Qatar for Three-Day Official Visit
Doha: President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in Qatar on a three-day official visit.
Upon his arrival at King Ahmad International Airport, he was warmly received by senior Qatari officials and Pakistan’s ambassador to Qatar. A bouquet of flowers was also presented to him as a gesture of welcome.
During the visit, President Zardari will attend the Global Social Development Conference, where he will highlight Pakistan’s ongoing efforts for social progress and inclusive economic growth.
In his address, the president is expected to emphasize the role of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in protecting vulnerable communities and promoting social welfare.
He will also present Pakistan’s initiatives under the Doha Alliance for Social Protection and Jobs Compact, focusing on efficient use of financial resources, achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the importance of international cooperation.
President Zardari is also scheduled to meet global and regional leaders, as well as representatives of international organizations, to discuss ways to enhance collaboration in social development, investment, and regional cooperation.
