Pakistan Introduces Online Passport Fee Payment System for Faster Service

In a bid to streamline the passport issuance process, Pakistan has introduced a new system for paying passport fees online. Applicants can now make payments quickly without the need to wait in long queues at the National Bank of Pakistan.

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has launched an easy-to-use online facility that allows applicants to pay their passport fees through the “Passport Fee Asaan” mobile app or via the web portal Paymaster.com.pk. This digital service is designed to enhance convenience and speed, enabling citizens to pay from anywhere and at any time.

How to Pay the Passport Fee

To make a payment, applicants must first generate a PSID number using the “Passport Fee Asaan” app, available for both Android and iPhone devices, or by visiting the Paymaster website. Once the PSID is generated, payments can be made through internet banking, ATMs, Easypaisa, or JazzCash by selecting “1Bill” and entering the PSID number followed by “999999.”

With the payment completed online, applicants can then proceed to the nearest passport office to finalize their application without the need to stand in bank lines, making the entire process faster and more efficient.

This new system is part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to modernize and simplify public services for its citizens.
