Pakistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan Celebrate Victory Day Together
Baku, Azerbaijan: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan highlighted the strong friendship between Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey during the Victory Day parade in Baku.
The Prime Minister praised Pakistan’s armed forces for their bravery in past conflicts, noting that they downed seven of the enemy’s top fighter jets. He thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the invitation and appreciated Turkey and Qatar for helping facilitate peace talks with the Afghan Taliban and during the Gaza peace process.
Shehbaz Sharif said the three countries would continue to strengthen their friendship and solidarity in the future. He also criticized social media for negatively affecting children, saying Pakistan is taking steps to protect them.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev: Aliyev expressed gratitude to Pakistan and Turkey, saying their support would never be forgotten. He praised the courage of Azerbaijani soldiers who fought in the 44-day war and celebrated the liberation of Shusha, a key city. He said Azerbaijan is entering a new era of peace and stability.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan: Erdogan called Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey “a family bound by history, faith, and brotherhood.” He congratulated Azerbaijan on its success, praised its soldiers’ bravery, and said the victory would help bring peace and prosperity to Karabakh. Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to strong ties with both Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
The event celebrated the countries’ close relations and highlighted their shared efforts for peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
