President Approves Pakistan Army, Air Force and Navy Amendment Bills 2025
Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the Pakistan Army Amendment Bill 2025, Pakistan Air Force Amendment Bill 2025 and Pakistan Navy Amendment Bill 2025. The approval came after the National Assembly and Senate passed all three bills.
With the President’s signature, the amendments have now officially become part of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The updated Army Act introduces a major change: the Army Chief will now also serve as the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), and the tenure for this new position will be five years.
These amendments mark an important development in Pakistan’s defence structure and military leadership system.
