RJ Mahvash faces backlash for joking about Palash and Smriti’s wedding delay

RJ Mahvash has stirred social media after making jokes about the ongoing rumours of affair and cheating surrounding Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana, especially after the delay of their wedding.

Many people called her comments insensitive, while others felt they were humorous. On Wednesday, Mahvash posted a video that subtly mocked the rumours of cheating that have been circulating online.

Social media has been full of unverified claims ever since cricketer Smriti and music composer Palash delayed their wedding due to health issues involving Smriti’s father. Among these claims is a rumour that Palash cheated on Smriti.

In her video, Mahvash said, “Men are also very lovable… Whenever you ask them, they’re always single.”
She continued, “Look, I don’t know what’s true and what’s false, but when it comes to my wedding, I’m not going to pretend everything is perfect and launch it on the internet a week before… And whoever my man is, if he’s out there making ‘honeymoon vibes’ in someone’s DMs, girls please come and tell me… Don’t think, ‘Oh she’s getting married, how can we tell her now, she must trust him’… No, I don’t trust anyone in this world. I can’t say about anyone that ‘he can never do such a thing.’ Anyone can do anything. Make his DMs public, or give them to me and I’ll make them public… If it’s on Snapchat, record it from another phone… Save me, friends… Please girls, I’m leaving my homeland (my trust) to you all, my sisters.”
