Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Refuses to Meet KP Chief Minister
The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) refused to meet Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Friday.
After spending the entire night protesting outside Adiala Jail, CM Sohail Afridi reached the Islamabad High Court. However, he was unable to meet Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar.
Following the refusal, Sohail Afridi, Aleema Khan, and a team of lawyers left the Chief Justice’s secretary office.
Speaking to the media, Afridi said they were not heard. He said they received a message from the Chief Justice stating he could not meet them.
Afridi announced that they had now decided not to allow the National Assembly or Senate sessions to continue. He added that on the coming Tuesday, workers would gather both outside the High Court and outside Adiala Jail.
The Advocate General of KP also confirmed that the Chief Justice had refused to meet the Chief Minister. He said the Chief Justice was not meeting anyone, including the Advocate General or any lawyers.
