Mumbai pays heartfelt tribute to Dharmendra’s legacy

Mumbai’s film industry came together in Bandra on Friday evening, not for a movie premiere, but for something much more peaceful and emotional. The Deol family held a special prayer meet called “Celebration of Life” to honour legendary actor Dharmendra.

Instead of long speeches or heavy emotions, the family chose music to share Dharmendra’s life story. According to ANI, the tribute was performed in front of close friends, colleagues and fans who came to remember his long journey in Indian cinema.

Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Karan Deol stood together with folded hands, thanking everyone for their support since Dharmendra passed away on 24 November at the age of 89.

Many well-known faces from the film industry were present. Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Rekha were among the top stars seen at the venue. Others like Amitabh Bachchan, Saira Banu, Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt also came quietly to offer their respects. The turnout showed just how much love and respect the industry has for Dharmendra.

Dharmendra, known for classics like Sholay and Chupke Chupke, leaves behind a big and loving family from both his wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini.
