Pakistan Poised to Send Troops to Gaza: Ishaq Dar
Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is ready to send to Gaza.
Ishaq Dar remarked during a press conference that disarming the Palestinian resistance organization is the job of Palestinian enforcement agencies, and Pakistan is not poised to interfere in it.
The Foreign Minister further claimed that Pakistan is set to send troops under the Gaz Peace Force, but before that, the mandate, role, and TOR of the force must be explicitly defined.
Referring to resistance forces, Dar revealed that Indonesia also expressed reservations about disarming Hamas.
However, he clarified that if a Pakistani military contingent takes part in the International Stabilization Force, it must be recognized by the United Nations Security Council. The Prime Minister has taken a principled decision to participate in this force after consulting the Field Marshal.
Furthermore, Ishaq Dar additionally disclosed that a decision to send food and humanitarian aid to the Afghan people at the request of the United Nations will also be made today so that immediate assistance can be provided during the humanitarian crisis.
