Major Roads in Islamabad Closed Today — Check Alternative Routes

The Islamabad Traffic Police have issued an important traffic advisory, informing the public about temporary road closures in the federal capital today. Several major roads will remain closed for a duration of six hours, from 11 AM to 5 PM.

According to the advisory, diversions will be implemented on key roads, including Police Lines Road, Faisal Avenue, Srinagar Highway, and Express Highway. In light of these closures, citizens are urged to use alternative routes such as Margalla Road, Club Road, and service roads to avoid traffic congestion.

The Traffic Police have also advised commuters to factor in an additional 20 to 25 minutes for travel time, as police personnel will be stationed throughout the city to assist with traffic management and provide guidance.
