Sohail Afridi Says PTI Leader Cannot Be Kept in Jail Unjustly
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has stated that the usurpation of rights is unacceptable, and that a national leader cannot be kept in jail without justification.
According to details, Chief Minister Afridi, while addressing a rally at Namish Chowrangi in Karachi, raised strong objections to the conduct of the Sindh government. He stated that although the provincial government created obstacles to prevent the gathering, the people proved their loyalty to the PTI founder by making the rally a success despite these difficulties.
The Chief Minister alleged that the police dealt harshly with party workers at various locations; nonetheless, the public managed to gather in large numbers. He noted that while the government’s attitude in both Punjab and Sindh has been hostile, the movement’s next phase will be in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where street protests will be further organized.
Sohail Afridi expressed special gratitude to the people of Karachi, saying that their participation sent a clear message that the PTI founder’s political influence has not waned.1 He remarked that those who believed the political struggle had died down should witness today’s turnout for themselves.
He further accused the Sindh government of not only obstructing the rally but also insulting Sindhi cultural symbols, such as the Topi and Ajrak. He claimed the PPP has established a “dictatorship-like” system in the province by manipulating the constitutional structure.
The Chief Minister concluded by stating that the people are ready to march to D-Chowk and are merely waiting for the call from the PTI founder.2 He made it clear that he would not allow anyone to deprive the people of their rights or to unjustly imprison the national leadership.
