14 January, 2026 12:54

The most handsome Bollywood actor recently shared surprising news on his Instagram that he has started working on his new film Naagzilla. In the post, Kartik is holding a clapboard marking the start of the shoot.

In the Instagram picture, the clapboard revealed the movie title and director’s name, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. In the photo, the actor looks relaxed in a plain white shirt and seems excited about the new project. He captioned the post, “1 Year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 Day 1 of #Naagzilla Har Har Mahadev 14th August 2026.”

Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film Naagzilla is on schedule, with shooting ongoing despite rumours of a possible production delay. Naagzilla is a movie with heavy VFX and is a fantasy entertainer.

The 35-year-old actor’s Naagzilla is currently shooting in Mumbai. For the final leg of production, the team will possibly move to Delhi. Hopefully, the last schedule of the movie will begin in February.

Sources claim that it will take almost a month to complete the Delhi schedule. The main filming will be completed after the shoot ends, and the remaining work will be reserved for March.

As the film depends heavily on VFX, the makers have started working on its visual effects. A source said the team wants to ensure strong visuals and will reassess post-production needs once filming is complete.

In the movie Naagzilla, Kartik Aaryan will play the character of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag.

Meanwhile, his first look was revealed in April 2025, when filmmaker Karan Johar dropped a motion poster and announced the film’s release date.

Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film will hit theatres on August 14, 2026.
