Maryam Nawaz Wears Custom Nomi Ansari Outfit at Junaid Safdar Mehndi
The Sharif family’s residence in Jati Umra, Lahore, hosted the mehndi ceremony on Friday for Junaid Safdar’s marriage to Shanzeh Ali Rohale. The family’s fashion choices have once again garnered significant attention during the ongoing 2026 celebrations.
Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, hosted the exclusive event, which was attended by close relatives and a few special guests. Images from the evening depict her wearing sophisticated traditional attire; she opted for a mustard yellow suit with gold accents designed by Nomi Ansari.
The ensemble included a distinctive bordered dupatta featuring elaborate embellishments and traditional Gota craftsmanship. This style of attire is a staple of South Asian fashion, widely popular in Pakistani and Indian cultures for pre-wedding events like the mehndi.
The wedding festivities are scheduled to conclude with the baraat on January 17 and the valima on January 18, 2026.
