Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day 2026 Event Goes Live With Legendary Debuts, Rare Spinda, and 10th Anniversary Features

11 February, 2026 15:12

Love has taken over the Pokémon GO map as the Valentine’s Day 2026 event officially goes live. Running from Tuesday, February 10, at 10:00 AM to Sunday, February 15, at 8:00 PM local time, this year’s celebration is one of the most expansive yet. The event not only marks Valentine’s week but also plays a key role in Pokémon GO’s 10th Anniversary celebrations, bringing new Legendary Pokémon, limited-time raids, exclusive bonuses, and nostalgic AR features.

The Valentine’s Day 2026 event centers around “Royal” pairings and the completion of the Forces of Nature quartet. One of the biggest highlights is the debut of Therian Forme Enamorus, which will appear exclusively in Five-Star Raids on Saturday, February 14, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Collectors will also be eager to challenge Three-Star Raids featuring Nidoking and Nidoqueen wearing Royal Crown costumes, both available in Shiny form for the first time.

The event concludes with another major debut as Gigantamax Meowth arrives in Six-Star Max Battles on Sunday, February 15, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Throughout the week, Trainers can encounter a wide variety of Pokémon across different raid tiers, making this one of the most content-packed Valentine’s events to date.

Egg hatching also takes center stage during the event. By opening Gifts from friends, Trainers can obtain 7 km Eggs containing a curated selection of baby and pink-themed Pokémon. Cherubi stands out this year with a significantly boosted Shiny rate, while other possible hatches include Cleffa, Igglybuff, Happiny, Audino, and both Nidoran forms.

Field Research tasks available from PokéStops offer valuable encounters and rewards, with the most sought-after being Spinda Pattern #9, also known as the Heart Pattern. This rare form is only available during the Valentine’s Day event and can even appear as a Shiny. Additional research tasks reward encounters with Pokémon such as Pikachu wearing a Flower Crown, Roselia, Luvdisc, Alomomola, and both Kanto and Alolan Vulpix.

A major community-driven element returns in the form of the “Share the Love” Global Challenge. Trainers worldwide must collectively send 100 million Gifts to unlock powerful bonuses for the remainder of the event. Once completed, players will earn 750 XP for every Curveball catch, gain a chance to receive Rare Candy from Gifts, and unlock special Timed Research featuring Heart Pattern Spinda and Pink Flabébé.

Several limited-time bonuses enhance gameplay during the event. Trainers can change Furfrou into its Heart Trim form, earn double Catch XP, receive double Stardust from opening Gifts, and enjoy increased Shiny odds for Nidoran♀, Nidoran♂, and Cherubi. Additionally, evolving Kirlia into Gardevoir or Gallade during the event grants the exclusive Charged Attack Synchronoise.

As part of the 10th Anniversary celebrations, Niantic has introduced a nostalgic AR feature titled “What’s Your Favorite?” This allows Trainers to use the AR camera with any Pokémon in the Pokédex—even those not yet caught. Taking a snapshot during the event grants a one-time reward of 10,000 Stardust and five Rare Candy. As Niantic describes it, “What’s Your Favorite?” invites players to celebrate a decade of Pokémon GO by showcasing their most beloved Pokémon.

Overall, the Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day 2026 event blends new high-level challenges with classic fan-favorite content. From the debut of Gigantamax Meowth to the return of Heart Pattern Spinda, the event caters to both competitive raiders and dedicated collectors. By tying Valentine’s Day festivities into its 10th Anniversary, Pokémon GO once again reinforces its core mission of connection—between Trainers and across the global community.
