Who was YouTuber Bonu Komali? Last Message To Mother In Kuwait Before Killing

Hyderabad, Telangana – A 21-year-old part-time YouTuber and science student, Bonu Komali, was found dead at her rented apartment in Hyderabad on Monday, following an alleged argument with her boyfriend.

According to police, Komali, a resident of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, had been living alone in the city for nearly 11 months while pursuing a BSc at a private college. She was also known for creating lifestyle and personal videos on YouTube.

B Satya Varalakshmi, Komali’s mother, who works in Kuwait, received an early morning text from her daughter reading, “I love you mummy so much.” In her final message, Komali also asked her mother to look after her younger brother. Her phone was later found switched off. When repeated calls went unanswered, her mother alerted a friend, who visited the apartment in the afternoon.

After repeated knocks went unanswered, the friend broke the latch and found Komali hanging from a ceiling fan. Police reported that a ladder and a saree were found near the scene.

A preliminary investigation suggests that Komali was experiencing emotional distress related to a prolonged relationship dispute. She had reportedly been in a three-year relationship with a 27-year-old software engineer and fellow YouTuber, which had recently ended.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death, which is being treated as a suicide.
