Sindh Home Minister Orders Action Over Security Lapses

In a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar expressed his serious concern regarding yesterday’s security lapses, stating that he is treating the incident with the utmost gravity. He clarified that the removal of several officers from their posts was a direct order issued by him and the chief minister of Sindh in response to these failures.

The Home Minister emphasized that the Sindh Police is a professional institution and must perform accordingly. He directed that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to the current situation be strictly implemented without exception.

Furthermore, the minister warned that field officers will be held directly responsible for any future accidents or security incidents within their jurisdictions.

To prevent such occurrences, he ordered that security be tightened at all sensitive and important locations, noting that failure to do so will result in strict disciplinary action.
