Ata Tarar Confirms Heavy Taliban Losses in Balochistan and KP Operations

Islamabad, March 3, 2026: Federal Information Minister Ata Tarar gave the latest update on Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, sharing details of military operations against Afghan Taliban in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He confirmed that Pakistani forces successfully repelled multiple enemy attacks overnight.

Balochistan Operations: Taliban Attacks Repelled

According to Ata Tarar, the Afghan Taliban attempted physical attacks at 16 locations in Northern Balochistan. The attacks took place in Qilla Saifullah, Noshki, and Chaman districts.

In addition, the Taliban carried out fire raids at 25 locations targeting Pakistani troops. All these attacks were effectively repelled by the military.

As a result, 27 Taliban fighters were killed and several others were injured. Pakistani forces suffered casualties as well. One FC Balochistan North soldier was martyred defending the motherland, while five soldiers were injured during the operations.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Taliban Suffer Heavy Losses

In KP, the Taliban attempted a ground attack at one location. They also carried out fire raids at 12 locations. All attacks were successfully stopped without any loss of life among Pakistani troops.

During overnight operations, 40 Taliban fighters were killed in KP. Follow-up operations are still ongoing, and security forces remain vigilant across the region.

Federal Minister Ata Tarar’s Statement

Ata Tarar praised the bravery of Pakistani troops. He said, “Our forces are defending the motherland with courage and professionalism. All enemy attacks were effectively repelled, showing the strength and readiness of our security forces.”

He also stated that detailed updates on the operation will be released later today, as military teams continue clearance and surveillance operations.
