The Princess of Wales adapted a modified look from one the favorite designers of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana. Kate’s navy-blue coatdress by Catherine Walker was designed with modernity and classic elegance in mind.
The long-sleeve dress featured sharp shoulders with equally geometric collar and lapels. A snug bodice along with four buttons at the waist, conversion to a paneled skirt with a bevy of pleating. Catherine’s dress coordinated with the pair of suede Gianvito Rossi pumps.
Kate’s other accessories, she opted by the other British family member like the navy saucer hat designed by Sean Barrett Millinery, featuring a bow and netting on the brim. Middleton’s jewelry pieces catered to the classic elements of her attire, wearing a five-strand faux pearl necklace from Susan Caplan.
The Princess of Wales capped off her attire with the historic Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings. The jewelry pieces were originally owned by the late Queen Elizabeth II, who received them around the time of her wedding to Prince Philip in 1947. The pearls were taken from their original setting and designed into the earrings Middleton wore for Monday’s service.
