Jeffrey Epstein ‘Spotted Alive’ in Florida: Viral Video Sparks Debate

14 March, 2026 21:32

Speculation about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has resurfaced online after a viral video from Florida appeared to show a man resembling him driving a convertible on a highway.

The short clip, filmed from a moving vehicle, shows a driver wearing a white cap and dark sunglasses. The individual’s facial resemblance to Epstein quickly drew attention, prompting widespread discussion across social media platforms.

The footage shows the convertible traveling alongside another car, leading many viewers to question whether the driver could be Epstein, despite his officially confirmed death in 2019. On social media platform X, users commented: “The internet is freaking out after this video was recorded in South Florida! WHO DOES THAT LOOK LIKE TO YOU???” Others wrote, “Is this Epstein in FL?”

Some users revisited conspiracy theories about Epstein’s death, while others expressed skepticism, noting it would be unlikely for him to move publicly without security if he were alive.

Authorities have consistently confirmed that Epstein died in custody in August 2019. He was found dead in a New York jail cell, and the death was ruled a suicide by hanging following an autopsy conducted by the city’s medical examiner. Investigations by the FBI and the US Department of Justice supported this conclusion.

Fact-checkers reviewing the viral clip emphasize that the individual has not been identified and there is no evidence linking him to Epstein. The AI tool Grok stated: “Epstein officially died by suicide via hanging in Aug 2019, ruled by NYC medical examiner after autopsy and confirmed by DOJ/FBI probes. Recent docs note irregularities but uphold that. The viral convertible video is an unidentified South Florida driver with a striking resemblance—no ID or evidence it’s him. Doppelganger.”

Analysts suggest the video likely shows a look-alike rather than Epstein himself. This is not the first time social media users have claimed sightings after his death; earlier viral images, including one purportedly showing him in Israel, were later revealed to be AI-generated.

While the video circulated, attention also turned to previously released Department of Justice documents connected to Epstein. The records included emails involving Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, with references to her daughter Princess Eugenie. Epstein’s longstanding connections with Prince Andrew have also remained under scrutiny for years, following investigations into the royal’s association with him.
