Actress Madhu Malhotra Passes Away At 72

Madhu Malhotra veteran actress, including Satte Pe Satta, Rishta Kagaz Ka, Karz, Hero, Vishwanath, and Qayamat known her best movies, Madhu primarily worked as a character artist in Hindi films during the late 1970s and 1980s. She built a reputation as a dependable supporting actor who added emotional depth to the films she appeared in, unfortunately passed away at the age of 72.

A film trade publication was reported her death. Madhu Malhotra was also known for her supporting roles often seemed in films directed by Subhash Ghai, as well as cameo roles in Vishwanath (1978), Karz (1980), and Vidhaata (1982).

Not only supporting role but she was also seen in several horror films which was directed by Mohan Bhakri, such as Khooni Murda (1989) and Roohani Taqat (1991). In Satte Pe Satta, she was paired opposite comic actor Paintal.

There are several memorable songs in which Madhu featured such as “Tu Mera Jaanu Hai,” “Pyar Karne Wale Kabhi Darte Nahi,” and “Ding Dong Baby Sing a Song.”

Though, she performed on screen in the iconic song “Lambi Judaai”, sung by Pakistani folk singer Reshma.

The sad track became one of the most durable songs from the film and continues to be evoked for its emotional depth and haunting song.

Following the news of her passing, many members of the film industry paid tribute to the late actress, memorizing her not only for her talent but also for her kind nature off screen.

Subhash Ghai a filmmaker, who had worked with Malhotra during her career, pronounced her as a “graceful and gentle personality whose expressive eyes could communicate profound emotion on screen.”

Numerous colleagues also imitated on her expertise on set and her calm behavior, noting that she move toward every role with self-esteem and honesty.
