Aneet Padda Faces Backlash After Sister Reet Padda’s Viral Comments Spark Controversy

Aneet Padda, who recently rose to fame after her Bollywood debut film Saiyaara performed exceptionally well at the box office, is now facing online backlash due to a controversy involving her sister, Reet Padda.

The issue began when Reet’s comments about certain films, including The Kerala Story and The Kashmir Files, went viral on social media. She reportedly labeled these films, along with Dhurandhar, as “propaganda,” triggering strong reactions from online users.

As criticism intensified, Reet made her Instagram account private. However, screenshots of her earlier remarks had already spread widely, fueling further debate. One social media user wrote:

“Meet Aneet Padda Sister Reet Padda who mocks Dhurandhar… now she made her account private Don’t mess with Dhurandhar Fans.”

The controversy quickly escalated beyond her comments, with some users sharing unverified claims about Reet’s personal life and family matters. These allegations remain unconfirmed.

Additionally, older screenshots resurfaced in which Reet appeared to criticize Priyanka Chopra for not addressing the Israel-Gaza conflict during the Oscars, adding to the ongoing backlash.

Despite the growing online attention, neither Aneet nor Reet Padda has issued a public statement. However, much of the criticism has extended to Aneet, even though she was not directly involved in the remarks.

The debate has also included broader criticism of films like Dhurandhar 2, with some individuals calling it propaganda and alleging that director Aditya Dhar aimed to align with prevailing political narratives.
