Islamabad to Host Key Foreign Ministers for Regional Talks

Pakistan’s Foreign Office said on Saturday that at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty will pay a two-day visit to Islamabad starting Sunday.

The Foreign Office said in a statement that during the visit, the foreign ministers will hold detailed consultations on a range of issues, including efforts to reduce tensions in the region. “The distinguished guest will also meet the Prime Minister.”

According to the statement, Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with brotherly countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt.

“This visit will provide an opportunity for Pakistan to further strengthen cooperation and coordination with these countries in various areas of mutual interest.”

Ishaq Dar also confirmed the visit in an interview with private TV channel Geo News and said that the visiting foreign ministers will also meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday.

He said, “Our meeting was scheduled in Turkey, but due to busy schedules, I invited the brothers to Islamabad.”

He said that talks with Iran are ongoing and that “we are trying to end the conflict in good faith and in good faith.”

At the same time, he said that “due to negotiations, they are avoiding talking to the media.”
