Punjab and Sindh announce changes in solar policies – check here

23 April, 2026 12:08

The Power Division has given a clear explanation about solar net metering and NEPRA licenses. According to a spokesperson, it is not correct to say that the federal government gives licenses for solar net metering. These licenses are handled by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) under its own rules.

The spokesperson said that all electricity companies must follow NEPRA’s regulations. Any confusion about licensing should be cleared by the Ministry of Energy or the Power Division. Linking government orders directly to the licensing process is not based on facts.
