Iran’s Vice President Hails “Historic Victory” Following US Memorandum

Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has congratulated Iran’s leadership on what he described as a “historic and strategic victory” following the signing of a 14-point memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States.

In a message released Thursday, Aref praised the outcome of the agreement and said it reflected the combined influence of national resilience, military strength, and political leadership.

He also extended congratulations to Iran’s top leadership, crediting the guidance of the country’s authorities, the role of the armed forces, and what he referred to as the sacrifices of “martyrs” for enabling the outcome of the negotiations.

“This agreement is not an end, but a new beginning for the great leap of Islamic Iran,” Aref said, adding that the development signaled the emergence of a new phase in Iran’s international standing.
