Who Is Aniqa Jamal Iqbal? Pakistan’s First Official Miss World Representative

In the history of 73 years, the first time Pakistan will take part in the Miss World beauty pageant, where a 24-years-old model Aniqa Jamal Iqbal from Pakistan, earned the title of Miss World Pakistan 2026, and will go on to represent Pakistan at the prestigious international beauty pageant.

The ceremony held at a hotel in Lahore, where Aniqa received her crown presented by Miss Pakistan Universal 2022, Dr Shafqa Akhtar. Mr Pakistan World, Ataullah Gujjar also attended the event.

Alongside her pageant journey, Aniqa is enrolled in a master’s program in Accounting and Auditing. She has previously represented Pakistan at several international beauty pageants, such as Miss Earth, Miss Global, Miss Cosmo, Miss Eco International, and Miss Aura International. Not only that, she earned four title while representing Pakistan at the Miss Freedom of the World in Kosovo.

Beyond competing in beauty pageants, Aniqa is devoted to using her stage to support significant social initiatives. As part of Miss World’s “Beauty with a Purpose” campaign, her tactics to educate the public about thalassaemia, a solemn blood illness widespread in Pakistan.

In 2002, The Miss Pakistan World Organization was founded, and Sonia Ahmed is the head of organization, a historic achievement that she called the Pakistan’s first official participation in Miss World. The organization helps to prepare Pakistani women for international beauty contests over past 2 decades. Sonia said it displays that Pakistani women are building their mark on international platforms, just as they do in many other platforms.

Although taking part in numerous international beauty competitions, Pakistan is set to make its first official presence at Miss World in 2026. Aniqa’s input marks an important milestone and opens a new chapter for Pakistan on the global stage.
