Sana’a: Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement has warned that every future Saudi attack will face an equal response, declaring a new “airport for airport and port for port” equation.
Yemen’s Supreme Political Council strongly condemned the latest Saudi attack on Sana’a International Airport, warning that retaliation would now be based on the principle of equal response.
The council said the new policy would mean “an airport in response to an airport, a port in response to a port, and a blockade in response to a blockade.”
The Yemeni Armed Forces claimed that, in response to the July 13 attack on Sana’a Airport, they carried out a retaliatory operation targeting Abha International Airport inside Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles and suicide drones.
Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said Saudi Arabia’s reaction to the Yemeni strike on Abha Airport was unjustified, describing it as a limited response.
He stated that the “real equation” would be that any attack on Sana’a Airport would be answered with action against Riyadh Airport.
Al-Houthi accused Saudi Arabia of contributing to years of pressure on Yemen and said Riyadh was acting in coordination with the United States and Israel against the Yemeni people.
He called on Yemenis to participate in nationwide demonstrations to show that Yemen would continue to pursue what he described as a path of independence and dignity.
