Govt Cuts Kerosene Price by Rs3.58 Per Litre

04 August, 2026 14:33

ISLAMABAD: The government has reduced the price of kerosene oil after cutting petrol and diesel prices earlier this week.

According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs3.58 per litre. The new price is Rs301.64 per litre, down from Rs305.22.

The government had earlier announced a reduction of Rs4.8 per litre in petrol prices, bringing the new price to Rs331.95 per litre from August 4.

The price of high-speed diesel was also cut by Rs2.45 per litre, with the new rate set at Rs389.93 per litre.

The latest price cuts come as global oil markets remain volatile and the government continues efforts to control inflation.

Officials said the reductions are aimed at providing relief to consumers, although actual prices at petrol stations may vary slightly due to freight and local charges.
