Shah Ghulam Qadir Nominated for AJK Prime Minister’s Office

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Azad Kashmir President Shah Ghulam Qadir has been nominated as the party’s candidate for the office of Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, according to sources. Sources said PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has nominated Shah Ghulam Qadir for the top constitutional position.

The election for the AJK prime minister is scheduled to be held tomorrow in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. Shah Ghulam Qadir is considered likely to secure an easy victory, given the prevailing political situation in the assembly.

The newly elected prime minister is also expected to take oath on the same day in Islamabad. Sources said Nawaz Sharif may also attend the oath-taking ceremony.
