Preity Zinta Reveals Why She Worked 18-Hour Shifts for Movie ‘Vibe’

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has revealed about the long working hours she followed while filming her upcoming Bollywood movie Vibe. The actress demanding 18 hours shifts were her choice to complete the project sooner and reunite with her children in the United States.

On September 2 in Mumbai at the trailer launch of the spy comedy movie Vibe, the actress and entrepreneur explained that she chose to wok 18 hour a day just wanted to finish the production as soon as possible because she was only in India for around 30 to 40 days.

“Every day we had very long shoots,” Zinta said while discussing the ongoing debate over working hours in the Indian film industry. She explained that returning to America to be with her children was her main priority.

Preity also revealed that she avoided social plans while shooting Vibe. She avoided going out or making social plans, and wrapping up her work during her short stay in India.

According to the actress, the shoot was challenging at times due to action sequences, rain and other unexpected hurdles. Also pointed out that illness and unexpected events could cause changes to the shooting schedule.

The debate about working hours in Bollywood spark wider last year, when Deepika Padukone disagreed with the Spirit team over an eight-hour workday.

In the meantime, Preity Zinta back to Bollywood almost after an eight-year with break and shown her recent film Batwara 1947. Before returning to the big screen, her most recent theatrical release was Bhaiaji Superhit in 2018.

The movie ‘Vibe’ directed writted and produced by Kunal Khemu and other cast including Sparsh Shrivastava and Vanshika Dhir. The film’s plot revolves around two ordinary friends who find themselves trapped up in a national security threat. Vibe will be released in theatres on September 18, 2026.
