Sanam Saeed Reacts to Bill Gates’ Plans for Pakistan Agriculture

Pakistani actress Sanam Saeed has reacted to Bill Gates’ plans to increase cooperation with Pakistan in agriculture and new farming technologies.

The Kafeel actress shared a report about the development on her Instagram Story and wrote, “Oh no just when we thought Pakistan’s food was safe!” Sanam shared the comment after Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting with Gates Foundation Chair Bill Gates in New York on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly.

Shehbaz Sharif and Bill Gates discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, public health, digital innovation and artificial intelligence during the meeting. The Prime Minister also shared details of Pakistan’s agriculture reforms, including work on innovation, biotechnology, climate resilience, research and farmer training.

Both sides agreed to explore cooperation in areas such as improved seeds, livestock genetics and new agricultural technologies. The Gates Foundation already works with Pakistan on areas including polio, maternal and child health, nutrition, immunisation, digitisation and financial inclusion.

Bill Gates also invited by our Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
