Doda MLA Raises Questions Over Water Shortages in Occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Mehraj Malik, a legislator from Doda, has raised concerns over water and other basic infrastructure problems in parts of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking in the legislative assembly, Malik said residents in several areas continued to face difficulties in accessing basic services, including drinking water.

He highlighted complaints from people in Doda over delays in receiving water connections and said some communities had been waiting for essential services for extended periods.

Malik also raised broader concerns over electricity and public-service issues affecting residents of his constituency. Local reporting has separately documented his concerns over water supply and electricity-related problems.

The remarks have added to wider questions about the availability of basic infrastructure in remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
