After Baahubali 2, Shraddha’s ‘Stree 2’ also beats Shahrukh’s ‘Pathaan’

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s super hit comedy-horror film ‘Stree 2’ broke another record at the box office beating megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathaan’.

Released on August 15, the film ‘Stree 2’ has created a sensation at the box office from the first day of its release as it has done a worldwide business of crores of rupees and recently achieved two major feats.

In the first 24 days of its release, Stree 2 beat South Indian film industry star Prabhas’s Baahubali 2 by earning INR 516.25 crores, but now the film has bagged another big honour.

According to Indian media, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Stree 2’ earned 527 crores at the box office on Sunday, September 8, surpassing Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan’s super hit film ‘Pathaan’.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ collected 524.53 crore in its first 25 days of release, thus Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ has now become India’s second highest grossing Hindi film.

It is to be noted that ‘Stree 2’ is a sequel to the 2018 hit movie ‘Stree’, directed by Amar Kaushik. The cast of the film also includes Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi.
