After all-rounder Shakib al Hasan, former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has been booked in student attack case.

According to Bangladeshi media, the former pacer is among 90 accused in the case filed by Sheikh Mostafa AL-Muzahidur Rahman Palash at the Narail Sadar police station on September 10.

His father Golam Mortaza Swapan is also named in the First Information Report (FIR).

According to the reports, the father and son duo were a part of the rally conducted at Narail intersection on Sunday, August 4.

Thereafter, on August 6, Mashrafe’s house was reportedly set on fire as Bangladesh continued to struggle during protests during which Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also stepped down and fled the country.

Meanwhile, Mashrafe, 40, is set to feature for the Detroit Falcons in the US T10 League.

Earlier, veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was also named amongst the 147 people charged in a murder case during the political tensions.

Rafiqul Islam, the father of Mohammed Rubel, who was killed in the protests, filed the case at Adabor police station in Dhaka.
